Credit Card Debt Judgement in Collections
My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: FLORIDA MIAMI DADE COUNTY I had a judgement entered in Miami Dade County Court in 11/2002. I was at that time in process of bankrupcy but the bankrupcy never took place or was completed. Now, almost 7 years after this happen I get another letter from the Attorney Debt Collector trying to collect the money including accrued interest. Please advice me in terms of the debt collector status of limitations? Can they take me to court again? Would the entry in my credit report erase in November,2009. What would be my best course of action now?
Re: Credit card debt judgement second attempt of collection
A judgment in Florida is valid for 10 years, and can be renewed for 10 more. It will remain on your credit report for 7 years plus 180 days from the date of first delinquency.

Well, most people don't like it when I say this but I believe your best course of action would be to pay the judgment. After all, you do owe the money and the banks not being able to collect on loans is why the country is in the position it is so...
it's all your fault. Pay the judgment and help the country get back on track.
