Immigration to the U.S. While Out of Status in Another Country
Hello there..i need some help..i was studying in london england in 2006 and met my now fiancee who is an illegal immigrant in london but is originally from sierra leone..i got pregnant shortly thereafter and since then we have become engaged. We would like to apply for a fiancee k-1 visa but need to be clear on what the next steps are...we have an immigration attorney and they suggest that he stay in london until the visa is processed and then return to his home country for the interview..my only question with that is the police certificate that is needed..hes been in london for the past 6 years..we just want to be a family and raise our daughter together..i and my daughter are american citizens..will the fact that we have a daughter together make any difference in our case...so sorry about the long thread but i am incredibly stressed out...

Are you certain that your daughter is? Have you followed the procedure for registering her?

    No.

And since you have an attorney, you should be addressing your questions to him/her.
