    Grandparent Right in Louisiana
My question involves grandparents rights in the State of: Louisiana
My 15 yr has a 7 month old baby, the father is 18. (She was 14, he was 17 when she became pregnant.)
The father or his family does nothing to support the baby other than when I let my daughter take him over there on the weekends. I am 100% financially supporting the baby. My daughter was sneaking around with this boy when she became pregnant, they are not the type of people I would have allowed her to be around, but I was working 2 jobs to keep a roof on our heads. I have now quit one of them to keep the baby while she finishes high school, he is a drop out and I don't qualify for any assistance. I'm trying to find out if I can have legal guardianship without his approval or just exactly what my rights are and an opinion of what I should do.
Any help is appreciated, I am at my wits end.

You have no rights to the baby whatsoever.

If dropout boy's paternity has been established, have your daughter file for child support.

It is HER job to support the child... not yours.

Well that was no help. Her head is in the clouds as far as he is concerned...remember she is 15 how do you suppose SHE supports the baby? Welfare services tells me she is too young to file on her own, it goes by MY income...and how do you get money from a deadhead that doesn't work?
