    Change Name on Birth Certificate
My question involves name change laws in the State of: Colorado

I have a step daughter named Jessica who got involved with an illegal alien from Mexico. Jessica has an 8 month old boy named Alex. The problem is that he is not the biological father and she put his name on the birth certificate because she had no else to put as father. She wants his name off the birth certificate, she wants to leave him. No marriage, no accounts together, no love for each other.
The non biological father has no visa, no SSAN#, and no green card.
Jessica's IQ is is 65 and somewhat mentally disabled or challenged. Also, Jessica's mother and I have Alex living with us 6 out of 7 days per week.

    Can you help?

So she committed fraud. It's going to be problematic for her to get that changed.

Did he sign a Voluntary Acknowledgment of Paternity?

His name on the birth certificate does not bind her to him in any way.

They aren't married? She wants to leave him? No problem. All she needs to do is kick him to the curb - "Bye-bye, loser, I'm gone."

He took a paternity test, he is not the father. Dept of Human Services is involved and gave my wife and I physical custody. Jessica is afraid of him and is scared to leave him.

I am planning on turning her boy friend in to INS or Homeland Security and have him sent back. He is also physically abusing her, she has bruises on her arms and shoulders.

I am fed up with this illegal alien who has absolutely no rights in this country.

are the courts involved with the girl at all? With an IQ of 65, I would suggest the courts should have been involved with the guardianship of this girl from an early age. Not sure but you may want to speak with the prosecuting attorneys office in your area. She may be disabled to a level where consensual sex is not legally possible.

they would also be a first step to remove this man from your daughters life due to assault and battery or domestic violence. Her IQ may allow the state to be more aggressive in their actions.
