Termination of Probation Opposed by People
My question involves criminal law for the state of: California.
To make this quick; I have two criminal convictions for which I was given probation. While on probation for one, I violated probation. The judge revoked and then reinstated my probation. However, I have successfully completed the new terms and conditions of my new probation. I filed for early termination which was granted on my second case. I turned around and filed for termination of probation on my first case. The People of California are opposing this because of my second case (which probation was terminated) and a previous speeding ticket which I was cited on prior to all my criminal proceedings. However the conviction took place while on probation, due to the courts backlog, my case kept being pushed and pushed.
What legal ramificiations do I have to response to the People's Motion to deny my termination.

    Please advise.

    Thank you

Ramifications = consequences. What do you mean? If the judge denies your motion, the consequence is that you'll serve out your probation.

I was going to prepare a response to the People's motion? Do you thing its worth it or not,, or just present my case at the day of the hearing?
