Parole Officer Out of Line
My question involves criminal law for the state of: ca
My boyfriend is on parole, he has to wear an ankle monitor, he just got a new PO and, this guy is really out of line, is there somewhere to go besides filing a 602? The PO claims the monitor is being taken off, never has this happened, he has to wear boots for work and works inside of a metal building most of the time. also, his PO makes him leave work at a moments notice for meetings which is causing him problems at work and all the PO can say is you're not special. The PO also told him I'm investigating you and usually that ends in an arrest" are they allowed to threaten people like that? How is a person supposed to be successful?
Re: Parole Officer Out of Line
Your boyfriend can speak to the PO's supervisor about the PO, but chances are he's just going to have to suck it up and keep his nose clean.

well, suck it up???? no.. not okay, there just happened to be another parole officer present during the incident that became supervisor 10 days later. the PO was out of line and a new PO was assigned. I don't know what the diciplineary action was for the PO in question but he was not on duty for a few days i was told.
I would just like to say that the screening for law enforcement officials nationwide, should really be re-evaluated because, the majority of them are more deceptive than the so called criminals they apprehend...

Like I said, he can report it or suck it up. If the P.O. was out of line, he'll get spanked. if he wasn't, then he will not. By law, you cannot be told what discipline was taken - if any was at all.
Unfortunately for your boyfriend, he has to follow the rules as set down by the P.O. Some P.O.'s are more strict than others. if he gets a strict one, then he can complain about that one, too. If he gets a lenient one, he can consider himself fortunate.
