Caught Shoplifting in Macy's in New Jersey

I was caught shoplifting in Macys's in NJ and the items wwere worth $290. At frist they took my friend and I took the bckroom and then I was bymyself. At first i lied and said i was 17 ( I am 18) because i thought i would get in more trouble. They told me i had to notify a parent so I called my father (who is in NY where i am from) then they made me sign something basically admitting that i stole and I am banned from Macy's. Then the cops came in with my friend and they took us to the precinct. I became scared so I told them i was really 18 so they said parents no longer haad to be involved. So they fingerprinted us and then took our pictures and our information. Then the security guard from Macy's came downand basically signed something for my friend but not for mine. I am just really confused. Then the cop gave me a blue paper that looks liek a ticket but I am guessing it is a summons. We have to go to court tomorrow and plead guilty or not guilty. My friend has a lawyer and he told us to plead not guilty. Im confused because i signed that pper and they have us on videotape and we basically confessed at the police station. SO what do i do? Also do you know what is mostlikely to happen? THANK YOU
