My question involves child support in the State of: Washington.
My fiance and I have been together for two years now. I must admitt he was not a great person a few years ago however he is now on the straight and narrow in life and is an amazing father to our daughter and a great man. This is my question.
He currently has two warrants out for his arrest from years past one for driving while revoked and one for giving a false name. He is also an illegal immigrant.
He has a daughter with another woman who although he has been paying for her since she was born he kept no record of it. She is now going after him for child support and she was on tanf and the baby has state medical so I am sure he owes back child support to the state. This is my question she told us she has a appointment with the prossecuting attorney on thursday . My question is wether it is better to just volunteer to do the paternity test and go along with the attorney? or to wait and see if they can find him... Will they pull up the fact that he has the warrants so as soon as he goes in to do the test will they arrest him...or if he goes along with everything will they just look over them?
I know he needs to get the warrants taken care of but we need to work on his citzenship and everything too. I dont want my daughter to lose her dad she is so attached to him I just want to know what the best situation to do is. The lady that is going after him for child support says she is only doing so because the state is making her so she says she will go along with whatever he decides wether it be that she tells them she has no idea where he is or that she give them his number....
