Possibility of a Probation Violation Over Unpaid Restitution
My question involves criminal law for the state of: florida:confused: i go to court on 03/09/09 for some unpaid restitution. my 5 yr. probation is due to end on 03/17/09, i have not been in any trouble in the 5 years, and been paying $500.00 a month since my probation was modified 2 years ago for min. monthly payment. this is a technical violation. if i ask the judge will he end my probation as scheduled and turn my restitution into a civil lien and or judgment???

Re: Possibility of a Probation Violation Over Unpaid Restitution
sorry not been on to repost my outcome.. been to happy.after going to court on 3/9/09. assistant state prosecutor didn't read my violation report. which was for 5000.00 in unpaid restitution only no new charge.trying to score me out at 13 months prison. judge set pretrial for 3/16/09 and i paid 50.00 for public defender... went back on 16th. and prosecutor called my name,i was sitting right behind her, she apologized for not reading my violation report and said,"we are recommending i term prob. and fine's and restitution turned into lien's...never even talked to my public defender either.... wow
