That's impossible to say. The state can pursue charges any time before the statute of limitations has expired. In most instances, this will be one year or longer.
Typically, I suspect that most people will be charged (arrested or issued a summons) within 3 to 6 months of the incident ... maybe less. There is no cookie cutter time frame out there, sorry.
