Assault 2 Years Ago

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Missouri

2 years ago on New Years my husband was drunk and made a comment to a friend of ours that was inappropriate. Her husband proceeded to whip out his knife and hold it at my husbands throat. Some words were exchanged but I don't know what they were. Is this considered a felony assault? I just recently found out that this had happened and I want to know if there is anything that can be done about it now.
