Battery of a Minor - Can I Sue
My question involves injury or loss that occurred in the state of: battery and destruction of property. a few days ago i was at a city event tailgaiting with my friends then all of the sudden a random kid i havent seen before tells me i ran into him when i was standing still. i replied no i didnt( i was standing still) then he tells me i pushed him, then i said ok im sorry if i ran into im not trying to start anything. during him asking me questions he was also dropping f bombs also. before i was able to finish saying im not trying to start anything he punches me in the side of the head, then behind the ear. i am physically fine i had a couple of knots on my head but that was it. so after this my friends step in and tell him to back off and then we see about 10 more other kids run over so we get in my truck and leave and as we were backing out im looking over my shoulder and i see the kid that struck me punch the bed of my truck and now theres a dent thats about 12x12 in inches and on my driver side someone through a beer bottle at my door and theres dents and paint missing everywhere. it took me a couple of days to find his name and info but i got it. he is 21 and i am 17. is there anyway i can sue him for unprovoced violence and property destruction. thx
Re: Battery of a Minor - Can I Sue
You own the truck? That claim belongs to the owner.
How much do you think the knots on your head are worth, following an exchange of words, no medical treatment, no police report.
