Presidential Dollar Coins
Anyone collecting them? I LOVE them! One of the few brilliant ideas the govt. has ever had. ;)
The latest out, first this year, is William Henry Harrison:

Of the first 9 issued, I have been to the gravesites of 8, Andrew Jackson excluded. Polk, due out this year, is buried in Nashville, TN, as is Jackson.
John Tyler, next to be issued, is buried in Hollywood cemetery in Richmond, VA, as is James Monroe, actually within about 20 feet of each other, been there, done that.
Zachary Taylor is last out this year. He is buried in Zachary Taylor cemetery in Louisville, KY, been there, done that.
He was the subject of an exhumation some years back to see if he had been poisoned by Arsenic. The conslusion was, he was not.
Of the 1st nine coins issued, Washington, Jefferson and Madison are buried on the grounds of thier homes. The others are in different locations.
Harrison served only a month. He gave a very long speech at his inauguration with no overcoat on, he later caught pneumonia and died in office. John Tyler was the 2st to assume the Presidency from the Vice Presidency.
Later referred to as "his accidency", a take off on "his excellency" I suppose.
