Mother Lost Custody, How to Change Birth Certificate
My question involves paternity law for the State of:
What legal action can the biological father take if the mother did falsifying birth certificate? The birth certificate he was given at the time of the DNA test showed the father line blank. The mother was not married at the time the baby was born. She met the man she put on the birth certificate a few months after her birth. She went and put his name on the birth certificate and changed her last name and the babies. They were not married until the following year. She has been married and divorced 2 more times since this. The biological father has been paying child support this whole time. A few months ago the mother lost custody, social service in KY sent the daughter to live with the man on the birth certificate. Never checked about court ordered custody of the biological father. The biological father has been fighting with social service about this. That is when the biological found out about the changed birth certificate. Social service made a big mistake, but keeps putting off a new court date. Now it seems they don't want to take it back to court and make it right. The birth father is still getting time with his child. Mostly what he wants is the birth certificate changed and the mother held accountable for her action. No one seems to think the birth certificate will matter about what is on it.
