    Lying About Filing for Bankruptcy
My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: OH Is it illegal for a debtor to continually lie and say they are filing for bankruptcy just to avoid paying a debt when it seems they have no intention of ever filing? My Business is in CA and the client is in OH.

really, Judge, i have told so many creditors that i was planning on filing bk, i couldnt begin to count them all, it is a stalling tactic we deadbeats use, and yes it works , it does stall them, sometimes past the sol, sometimes to liqudate or transfer assets, or some other reason, it does buy some time. most creditors will just say call back when you have attorney info or bk # it does buy time. i believe he asked if it was ILLEGAL....
