Possession With Intent, Near a School
My question involves criminal law for the state of: florida
I have a friend who turned 18 a few months ago. He has a juvenile record for driving without a license but nothing on his adult record. He is awaiting an arraignment on three charges. Possession with intent within 1000 feet of a convenience store, contributing to the deliquency of a minor (16 yrs. old) and possession under 20 grams. This is his first offense. What are the likely outcomes? He has been awaiting a court date for about 40 days now and the charges have just been filed.
Re: Intent W/in 1000 Feet
It sounds like he's heading toward a felony conviction and jail time, possibly prison if he's selling drugs to kids near a school. He should get help from a criminal defense lawyer.
