Naturalization Application N-400- Lawyer Filing Fees
Re: Naturalization Application - Lawyer filing fees
For the State of Connecticut- I know most expensive state ever!

    Hello,
Does anyone know, by any chance what the filing fees for a lawyer would normally be for the N-400 (Application for Naturalization)?
I know that nobody can give me the exact fee and I know that the fee for the application itself is around 500$,I just would like to know if anybody went through this process through a lawyer. How much did they usually charge?
I will be filing from Connecticut, USA...I know its a very expensive state, but the amount my lawyer stated is a little over the top I believe, she wanted 1000$, is that fair?
PS: Also, if I do go to another lawyer, can I "legally" get all of my prior information and documentation from the "old and very expensive" lawyer, everything she sent to immigration, can I grab all of this information from her to bring it to a cheaper lawyer?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    It varies by lawyer.

Presumably you're looking for a lawyer to help you? Ask them as part of the interview process.
