I Want Out
My question involves guardianship in the State of: Nebraska
I recently moved to Nebraska from Missouri. I am really unhappy and miserable and I miss all my friends and I don't know if I can handle it. I have lived here previously, the first 14 year of my life actually. I have spent the last two in Missouri, and I was happier there. I don't want to emancipate myself, but I would like to move back. Is this at anyway possible?

Re: I Want Out
where does guardianship come into play here?
you did not state how old you are (the 14 and 2 obviously is 16 but is that the only places you have lived?) and I am guessing by your screen name you were born in 92 so that would make you 16 or there-a-bouts but...are you in fact 16?

Re: I Want Out
jk is trying to be nice.
You live where your parents tell you to live until you are 18.

Re: I Want Out
If you are looking for a law that will allow you to get a friend or relative to be your legal guardian without your parents' consent so that you can move back, there is no such law. As Jeff says, if your parents give you permission to return to Missouri and to give guardianship of you to someone they trust, fine. If they do not give you permission and say you must stay in Nebraska, then there is no law anywhere that is going to override them and let you go back anyway.
