My question involves juvenile law in the State of: georgia
if a 16 year old male is in cuxstody of defacs and runsaway what are the consequences and is it a mistominer of felony? the male withh be 17 in about 2 months. can the police search a home for the child will they search or just have it on file will it be in affect after turning 18?

The DEFACS can ask the courts to rule that the juvenile is in need of more controlled and structured supervision, up to and including being housed in a secure facility or even a boot camp. Police can search anywhere they can either establish probable cause to or can convince a judge to issue a warrant for or, in exigent circumstances they might even search under the premise that the minor is in some form of danger. Minor runaways are generally easy to search for, because by definition they can be considered endangered, giving law enforcement a wider berth of discretion than other types of cases.

Once you're convicted, they have jurisdiction over you until you're 21.
Start acting like a man, and take the consequences for your bad behavior.
