    Possible Charges of Child Endangering
My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: Ohio.

I stupidly left my 2 year old asleep in my car (locked with engine running) and got a few things at a store. I was gone about 15 minutes (yes, very stupid) and when I was paying and ready to leave, the cops were there waiting for me.
They checked on my 2 year old who was fine.
They put me in cuffs and asked me a few questions.
They let me go (didn't read me my rights) because I had to pick up my other child and because I suppose they didn't think I was a danger to my 2 year old.
They said I wasn't in the clear because some detectives might want to go over the evidence and interview me.
They mentioned charging me with a 1st degree misdemeanor.

I'm a stay at home father watching 3 kids. My wife works 3 days a week.
I don't have any prior arrests or incidents.

Should I get an attorney ?
What is the minimum an attorney might charge?
Can the attorney do anything for me ?

    Thanks in advance.

Lawyer YES! Your lucky they didn't remove the child on the spot they usually do. Also expect CPS to show up they will more than likely open a case and make you take parenting classes.
