How Much Will the Civil Demand Be for a First Offense
I am 18 going to be 19 in a few days, i was caught shoplifting $9.94 at Walmart. They told me to sign a letter (im guessing it is the civil demand) they said i can continue to shop at Walmart and any other affiliate stores. Also, i should get a letter within the next few days. My question is how much am i going to pay for this? The guy said he wasnt sure also they are not pursuing any legal charges or anything of the sort, just pay and be done with.

How much would i have to pay? And is there anything else i should know?

I am sincerely sorry for what i have done, I believe that if youre gona do the crime be ready to do the time. I feel like an idiot for doing this and I feel like I have let down all those who look up to me. Especially sorry to my friend who looks up to me not only as a best friend but a big brother. I have never done anything like this in my life and I regret it terribly. This is not an excuse I'm just letting out how i feel so it wont be bottled in.

    Thank you for your help.

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas

Immediately. You may be able to work out payments, but not always.
