My question involves a careless driving ticket from the State of: Arkansas
My son has to go to court after getting a "careless and prohibited" ticket. He says all he did was "rev" his engine up. Is that careless or prohibited driving? Is there ANY defense to this charge?
The defense would be that what he did wasn't "reckless driving" under the governing statute or ordinance. We weren't there, and I somehow doubt that your son is telling you the whole truth. It sounds like he might have been involved in a "speed contest" / "drag race".
