BTW- It is my understanding that less than a dozen minors have been emancipated in Florida in the last 5 years. Almost every teen thinks that they should be emancipated, but few of them qualify.

It is only a few months, and claiming abuse will not make it happen any faster. Taking away your cell phone is not abuse, and neither is keeping you away from your friends. If you are being PHYSICALLY abused, notify the authorities, but also understand that filing a false report is illegal, and even if the abuse claim is substantiated, you are not going to be able to move in with your boyfriend in Georgia until you are 18.
