My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan
I was caught stealing the total was 36.00. Unfortunately this is my second offense. i know it sounds stupid but i had a moment of weakness.
The first time i didn't get a lawyer and I ended up with a class and probation and fines. Im terrified that this time the penalty will be much harsher. is it likely that i will get jail time? or fines and costs and what not. I'm trying to get my life together and i just got a new job. i don't want to lose it because of this. should i get a lawyer this time?
