Delivery of Controlled Substance

My financee` was arrested last week for delivery of a controlled substance in Kalamazoo, MI but he leaves in Detroit, MI. My question is how many years can he get for this charge. And he has has a charge in 2002 for posession of a controlled substance. Also he just got out of prison in 2006 for Home invasion. And were sent to prison for violation of probabtion and recieved 2-5 serving only two years. The other question is how far into his history will they look into to prosecute him on the recent charge of delievery of a controlled substance. Since he got out of prison in 2006 he has been in any trouble since then, until last week. How much time is he looking at? I really appreciate any advice?

Well I don't know much more than what I posted. When I called the county where he's in custody they said "Delievery of a controlled Substance" was the only charge. He hasn't been or parole or probation since 06.` He has bail which is 10,000. That's about all I know at this moment. I think he was with his friends at the time.

That sounds like felony bail. It's not looking very good for him. I can't help you unless you know more about his charges.

partially, but there are also other factors including his flight risk.

Listen, this guy is bad.

Like cyjeff said, partially. There are also different levels so to speak of controlled substances, some are more dangerous than others. Like oxycontin is a stonger narcotic than say vicoden, but they are both controlled substances.
The delivery part is the really bad part here. If they were watching him for any lenght of time, he's toast. You kinda have to be watched to get the delivery part. You also have to be getting it from somewhere.

I'm with cyjeff here, this guy is bad news. Don't put one dollar of your hard earned money bailing him out for anything, if you do, don't expect any of it back. He's likely going to the pokey this time.
