11360(a) H&S

My question involves criminal law for the state of: CALIFORNIA
I was arreste for possetion for sale of marijuana 11359 h&s and trasportation 11360(a). The amount was a little over an ounce and less than 2 ounces. This was for personal use, my attorny say this is not a triable case because the marijuana was in my car and that justifies transportation. They do not have much to prove sales. Is this true? What does transportation mean? So if i picked up marijuana for my own personal and driving with it I can be charged with a fellony? What does the D A need to prove his case?
