Advice for Emancipation in Washington State
    Hi my name is Emily,
I am trying to get emancepated as well. I will 17 on Janury 14th. I was just wanting to know if u have gotten any useful advise that you might not mind to share with me. My storie is that m parents used to be abusive to me and my older sister about 3 years back. The only way i got them to stop is when i threatened to call CSP on them. to this day i still have the number memorized. Well now we have foster children in my house and u can see that my dad is getting more and more angery every day with every one around him. and it scares me because i know when it gets to the day that he gets over whelmed with every thing going on he is going to take it out on me and my older sister. I ty to help out as much as i can around the house. Also m parents always pawn the foster kids off on me, and i have to take care of them. Both my parents are disabled and are stay at home parents. If u could please give me any advise i would be very thankful.
thank you for taking the time to read this
    *Emily A.

As you read here, your petition for emancipation must include a declaration that you have the ability to manage your financial affairs, including any supporting information; and also that you have the ability to manage your personal, social, educational, and nonfinancial affairs, including any supporting information.

So far, you haven't indicated that you can do any of that. If you cannot, you're not eligible for emancipation.
