I Want to Press Charges After Being Attacked

My question involves criminal law for the state of: British Columbia

Hi,
My sister threw a party at are house and we had very a tight guest list...if you weren't on you didn't get in or if you were found you got kicked out.

I 20 year old girl came with her boyfriend both on hardcore drugs and they weren't supposed to be there( we didn't want that at the party) they are 20 and 24 years of age.

I asked them to leave and they started threatening me bu finally they left but about a hour later they came back and the girl (20 years old) jumped up my stairs and ripped me down then and then started punching me in the face.

I have multiple bruises on my face (from being punched) and legs(from getting pulled own the stairs) and scratches on my neck and face.

I want to know if i press charges what will happen and how long it will take to fulfill the charges.

note : I am 15 and she is 20 so would that be assault on a minor?
and what kind of charges would she get?

Hard to say what charges, if any, would be filed but could be assault on a minor, assault and battery, trespassing, etc.

First thing you need to do is contact the local PD and file a report of the assault. Also name as many credible eyewitnesses as you can round up. they will investigate and recommend charges if so warranted. However, the longer you delay, there stand a lesser chances of charges being filed.
