    Lawsuits Against the State
My question involves civil rights in the State of: New Jersey.
I have been in and out of court for family matters over the past 4 years. Each time the courts have made errors, not small but rather large errors. The last time that I was in court (without going into too much detail) the judge did not follow any rules of the courts what so ever when they made thier ruling. I am currently in the appeals process for now the second time. The blantent disregard for facts and laws and statutes that had happened in my case is now affecting numerous things such as my credit. How can I go after the State for these problems. I know it is possible I have read different cases where this has been done, however I would rather have an attorney for this but none would do this since it would kill thier career. I'm Lost and need help. Any Legal advice would be great

Please note that this is NOT legal advice. And to the true experts here, please correct me if I'm wrong.

No, you cannot go after the state. It's not a state issue; it's your issue(s) with the family court(s) and the judge(s) who hear and rule on your arguments(s). The reason no attorney will take your case is most likely due to fact that they don't feel that you have a valid case and therefore, cannot win.

You can file a grievance against the judge(s) hearing your case(s) or continue with your appeals, but without an experienced attorney representing you, you're right back to square one.

The legal "remedy" is a judicial one as Judge's enjoy "absolute/judicial" immunity for rulings from the bench.

It is very very rare when such a civil suit is allowed to proceed against a Judge as a personal defendant. In such a suit the state is not imputed regardless.

I saw one such suit in my life that was permitted to go forward and the Judge was also suspended by the state.

Your remedy is in the appeals process, etc. You are not the first who has been railroaded by the courts.
