    Shoplifting and Citizenship
    Hi

I am about to fill out my application and I have 2 juvenile crimes that happened in 2005. One of them I showed up for a court date and paid a fine and went to a class. The other I was finger printed but did not have to go to court. I just had to pay a restitution payment to Kohls. I was 16 at the time. I am now turning 20 and haven't done anything since. Would I be denied of citizenship? I have held my green card since 1996.

    thanks in advance.

As the crimes were small, committed as a juvenile, and you made restitution, it's unlikely that you would be denied citizenship.

You'd do well to consult with an immigration attorney, however.

I only made restitution for the one i was finger printed for. For the first one, I actually had to go to court and plead guilty. If that makes a difference. Also how would i get a hold of an immigration attorney and would it be possible to make consultations online? Thank you
