Driver's License Suspended Over a Paid Speeding Ticket
I live in PA and recently received a speeding ticket in VA. I was told by the officer that I had an unpaid speeding ticket from 9 years ago in VA and my drivers license was suspended in VA as a result. I thought I paid this 9 years ago. I don't have proof. Can I fight this? Is this legal? I thought after 3 years it's a mute point.

After three years a speeding ticket goes off your record. This has nothing to do with unpaid tickets. Your best choice is to pay all the costs of the old ticket and try to get the judge to dismiss the DWS.

If the speeding ticket was actually a reckless driving you will need an attorney and a fair amount of cash.
