Isn't There Anything I Can Do
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Pennsylvania
My brother is always doing things that are emotionally and physically harmful to me, such as throwing things at me, hitting me with things, threatening to kill me, and at one point he threatened me with a knife. He is a lot bigger than me and I don't feel safe being at home alone with him. The saddest part is that my mom lets him get away with all of these things, including cussing and swearing at her and bossing both of us around.
I want to know if I am able to do anything about it legally, even though I'm 17 and he is 13. The answer is probably no, but if not does anybody know if I can do anything that does not involve the whole legal process? I thought about maybe calling child services or whoever it is and getting them to investigate this whole situation but Im not sure if they would consider this reason enough.

The National Hotline for CPS is 1-800-4-A-CHILD if your life is being threatened you should call

Hello again... thank you very much. I was going to call 911 the next time he did it but I feel sure my mother would really get mad at me, maybe even kick me out (but that's ok with me! Haha...)
Thanks

Why wait call now!
You have a point... :-) I think I'll wait til he does it again plus it's 11 pm where I live, I'm not allowed to be on the phone past 9 for some ridiculous reason
Re: Isn't There Anything I Can Do
Then it must not be that life threatening

Well not right now it's not because I'm not really around him... but I really wish somehow I could get him in trouble for the things he DOES do when he IS around me
