emancipation in Kentucky
My mother adopted my cousin. He is now 16 and has dropped out of high school. We also recently found out his girlfriend (also a minor) is pregnant. He leaves for bootcamp soon. It is a six-month program in which he will also earn his GED. What would the procedure be to have him emancipated when he completes the program? On another subject, if she doesn't allow him to be emancipated, is she responsible for paying the child support on his child? Any information (or links to information) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Emancipation in Kentucky
Kentucky has no emancipation law. Your friend can discuss his situation with a family lawyer, should he choose, to determine what his options are. Emancipation should follow from lawful marriage, if that's an option.
The grandmother is not responsible for his child support.
