Talked to Manager About Resigning but Never Did So
My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: TX

Here's the long and short of it: I am a mortgage lender and have worked for a large company for right at 11 months. I have had several conversations with my manager in the past about simply resigning and moving in another direction. The last conversation I had with them was the beginning of Nov. but no formal resignation letter was submitted. On Nov. 30th my access was terminated and when I contacted tech support they showed that I was terminated.

So...was I terminated and would I be eligible for unemployment or did I resign? Wouldn't I have to submit a formal resignation letter which never was submitted?

There is no requirement that you resign in writing.

Apply for unemployment and see what happens.
