Employer Breach of Employment Before Start Date
My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: WA

I went through a recruiting agency to find a new job. They found one for me, I interviewed, I was subsequently given a full offer (salary, benefits, etc.) and a start date. I put in two weeks notice with my current employer in order to commence employment at the new job. The new job rescinded their offer two days before I was to start due to a re-evaluation of the firm's "financial" constraints. Also, the recruiting agency had knowledge of this information and did not disclose to me that the new firm was not going to hire me. I am now without a job and insurance and can't claim unemployment. Do I have any recourse here in WA. State?

Who would I file unemployment with? WA. State requires you to have worked 680hrs for your current employer. Since I quit one place to go to another, and the other terminated me before I could start, I'm left hanging. Suggestions?

You can talk to an employment attorney. You "might" have a case for detrimental reliance - you quit your old job assuming the new one would be there. (relying on the new job)
