Court Reporter Won't Make Transcript - is There Anything I Can Do
My question involves divorce in the State of: New York

The trial was three months ago, I got the divorce, and was told I would have the certificate in two months. Now, apparently, my lawyer can't finish the paperwork because the court reporter hasn't yet made the transcript (and when she asked him about it three weeks ago, he said it would take one more week). I filed for this divorce 14 months ago and, for various reasons, am very eager to get it over with. Is there anything I can do about this, or can this court reporter really just put off making the transcript indefinitely?

My wife's attorney requested transcripts from her son's court case, which lasted all of 12 minutes, and it took 10 weeks to arrive. Depending on the complexity of the case, the number of hours of testimony, plus the workload of a licensed transcriber, it can take weeks, even months.
