Hire an attorney. If you can not afford one, one will be appointed to you. Discuss diversion programs available in your area. If available, comply and your record will stay clean. Read some old threads to get a real picture.

thanks for ur reply and i waant to know about diversion programm avaliable in illinois or not and am willing to do community service also before am attending to court ,wil judge consider me if i do that service pls let me know

I have no idea. Diversion programs are not available everywhere. That's why your told to get a lawyer. A local attorney is familiar with local programs and the judges. If this is your first time, you have a good chance.

Any form or remorse is likely to be smiled upon. However we cant say what community servide you should or can do prior to court

"Sunny" pay attention because you have already been told this. Ask your Attorney he/she will know if Diversion is available in your area and if you qualify
