Caught Shoplifting at TJ Maxx

I got caught shoplifting at tjmax and the police came, did not go to jail and they just walked me to my car. In the store, the tjmax employee made me sign a paper stating the I stole the amount of 79 and they will be sending a letter soon. I am in a student visa and now have to go back to my country for vacation and DO NEED TO RENEW MY VISA and my question is: Do I have any problem when renweing a visa getting caught shoplifiting? Please help me with this answer. I am taking care of my depression for over a year and decided to stop the meds but was not a good idea.

The police came and just checked my id and nothing else. The store employee gave a paper stating the amount o money. Does it affect my record if the police did not gave me anything still? I am still watting for the letter that the tjmax employee told I would get in the mail.
