First Offender Status Felony in Georgia
My question involves criminal law for the state of: GA.
I am on first offender status for a felony i got. I have no prior record whatsoever. It is a residential burglary charge and i was an idiot for doing it. The house was empty and i was with the wrong crowd. I recieved 5 years probation, 120 hours of community service, fines and restitution totaling roughly 2,500. I have now been on probation for 1 year and 3 months and have paid off everything and done all the community service. My question was can i get the rest dropped off and go into the military. I am even going to take the asvab and have a recruiter by my side. I was in R.O.T.C and have a Kernel as a character reference. I have wanted to go into the military since i was a freshman in highschool and i am now 21. Can someone please lend me some advice?

Yeah... learn how to spell Colonel. They take being referred to as popcorn personally.

If you want your probation changed... and I give you five chances in a hundred of getting three and a half years of a five years sentence forgiven...you have to go to court to do it...

Contact your attorney and see what he/she says.

    Unlikely

Your recruiter (or joining the military) can have
no influence in reducing your sentance

You're just going to have to wait out the probation
