Can I Be Emancipated in the State of Wisconsin when I'm a Ward of the Court
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Wisconsin.
My question is; if I am in foster care, my mother had a temination of parental rights (TPR), and the county has legal custody of me, how would i go about getting emancipated?

Wisconsin has no emancipation statute. There is case law suggesting that it is possible to emancipate through lawful marriage, or active duty service in the armed forces. Niesen v. Niesen, 38 Wis. 2d 599; 157 N.W.2d 660 (1968).
Some states have programs to help foster children move to transitional housing, and I've heard that some will do that even for 17-year-olds. Talk to your case worker.
