    Emancipation and sharing an apartment
can anybody help me? i'm 15 and will be turning 16 soon. i plan... actually im determined to get a job as soon as i turn 16. i cant live with my parents anymore. i am a very independent person and i know i can make it on my own. as soon as i turn 16 i want out. i have thought out all of the money issues and i believe i can make it on my own. how do i get the help to become emancipated and what do i need to do? i also have a good friend of myn who's parents are divorced and she as well would like to get emancipated but for others reasons. if we both get emancipated we thought it would make it a whole lot easier to get an apartment together. would a judge even consider living with a friend? please help!!! :D (live in TEXAS)

    Emancipation
Being self-sufficient does not exclude the possibility of having a roommate.

You haven't given any valid reasons to be emancipated in Texas. Does your mom beat you or neglect you or verbally abuse you? Just WANTING to be on your own is not grounds for emancipation. BELIEVING you can make it on your own is not enough either. You have to PROVE you can be totally self-supporting.
