In New Jersey, the age of 18 is the age of majority. A 20-year-old is already an adult.
In terms of terminating child support that extends past the age of majority, check the terms of your child support order. When does it say that child support may be terminated? If those conditions are now met, petition the court.
Or if you're asking if a child can move out and demand that a parent pay child support to the child instead of the custodial parent, no.
