Is This Fraud

My question involves criminal law for the state of: New York.

In my child support order it states that my ex is required to give me invoices of day care expenses every month signed by the day care provider. This has been going on for about 18 months now. Today I just noticed that the handwriting of the day care provider looks a lot like my ex's signature. Is this something I can have the police investigate? I feel as though I have been getting ripped off for the past 18 months. Now I question whether or not my son was really being watched those days since my ex does live with her parents who don't work. Do I have any ground to stand on or is she going to get away with this?

Have you tried to find out what the daycare provider charges? If it's the same amount that's on the bill, there you go.

No, the police won't be interested in pursuing a report that "I think my wife may be changing the daycare bills in our child support case, but I have no proof." They'll tell you to take it up with the court that issues your support order.
