My question involves criminal law for the state of: PA
I got caught trying to shoplift some jewelry for my little sisters today. The Loss prevention people came up to me and asked for there stuff back. At first i was shocked and didnt know wat to say but i went back with them to their office and gave it to them. They asked me for my license and all my info. which i gave to them. They didnt call the police and were actually very nice about it. The lady was explaining to me how she thought i seemed like a nice girl and that i was going to school so i have to be smart. The guy was telling me how is friend got caught stealing and now cant graduate college, so they werent really harsh on me. But they did say i would receive a letter in the mail. The total merchandise i tried to steal was $97. If i get a fine how much do you think it would be? I dont make that much money, i go to school so i have to pay loans && tuition. All i want to know is wat kind of letter am i recieving and approx. how much in fines??? Im really scared and i know it was a very stupid decision. I was trying to get my sisters christman presents, i never had to worry bout money before because i could always depend on my parents but now that im 18 and graduated high school, i cant do that. I support my own living besides my house, i still live with my mom. I dont wan her to find out. Whats going to happen??
PLEASE HELP
