Shoplifting at G&G

Hey, I am an 18 year old female, and I was recently caught shoplifting from G+G. I was arrested and held in jail for 5 hours, and now I have to go to court on the 26th of January. It is my first offense, and I am worried. I can't eat or sleep...I am basically worrying myself to death. I have no idea what the outcome is going to be, and I wish I knew the punishments for first offense shopliftors.The amount in which I had stolen was probably about $30-$40 dollars... Please help me....do you know what the consequences are for this type of crime? Thanks! CG :cry:

First Shoplifting Conviction

Although the penalty can vary, most of the time a first time shoplifting conviction results in a sentence of probation, a fine, and possibly some form of community service requirement. You should consult a local lawyer to see if there is a way you can avoid getting a criminal record.

So, what ever happened to your case? I am asking because I am currenly in a very similar situation.
