How Can Alimony Be Taken Away?
My question involves divorce in the State of: Florida
We have been divorced for about 9 years. I was awarded alimony for 17 years. My exhusband is now saying he is going to take me back to court because of new situations to stop paying me. In my divorce papers it is stated I receive unless I was to remarry. I have never remarried and don't even live with anyone other then older children. Under what circumstances can alimony be taken away? What I am afraid of is he can afford a very good attorney. Thank you:confused:

In some circumstances, alimony can be modified. You should take a copy of your decree to an attorney for a consult. You can get a low cost consult by calling the Florida Bar Lawyer Referral Service at 1-800-342-8011.
