Shoplifting at Nordstroms
My question involves criminal law for the state of: New Jersey
So to start it all off I just want to say that I wasn't arrested by the cops or detained by LP. Anyway a few months ago in April I was at Nordstroms with my good friend and she decided to shoplift a $200 dress and a $176 tee shirt but to put a long story short I had a really bad feeling because the employees were acting really weird and following us around so I figured they knew. So I grabbed a bunch of clothes off the racks went into the fitting room and made her take the clothes out of her purse and put them in the pile I had.
I had been planning on buying stuff that night so to make everything seem better(at least in my mind) I bought a $100 tunic dress and a $80 tee shirt. Thankfully I paid cash for them and right after that we left the mall and drove home and everything turned out fine. The thing is I used to shop and also shoplift from Nordstroms quite a bit before that incident and now I'm just worried that if I go there to legitimately shop I'll be detained/arrested which would be horrible since I already came clean to my parents about my shoplifting since it bothered me so much.
Now I'm just wondering what would happen if I return to shop even though its been almost 7 months??? When I did shoplift there I never took anything in the view of a camera it was always in a dressing room and I would also purchase a lot of stuff if that makes it any better. Oh and this all happened when I was 17, I'm now 18.

Probably nothing will happen but none of us can say 100%
