How to keep a baby's Fathers name off of the birth certificate
I am 28 and 3 mths along.( In Florida) The father is in the picture but not the person I want to be with or have a baby with. He does not work nor will he and I support him. If is at the hospital when I give birth will they ask me in front of him who the father is? Will they just ask him? I do not want him to sign becasue I am afraid that he will take my baby while I am recovering. Please help I dont want him to have my child.

He has 3 other children that he does not support or see and I think he will see this as a gravy train to more of my money and my good heart.

If push comes to shove I can file for support that will force a dna teset ( I know the child is his) but this will then require that he pay child support . He is sooooo afarid of paying suport that I do not think he wil follow through with this opt. I just want to keep him away as much as possible to protect myself and my baby

    Birth Certificate
You don't have to identify the father at the hospital, and they shouldn't even add his name to the birth certificate just on your say-so. That should require him (along with you) to sign an affidavit accepting that he is the father, or a court finding of paternity.
