Cell Phone Ticket Error in California
My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: California

Hello everyone, I'm here just asking about a ticket error on a ticket i recieved today.

I was cited today for a 23123(A) Using Cell Phone While Driving.

Well on the ticket, my License Plate number is correct, but the Model says it's an Accord, when I drive a Civic. And there is no VIN number on the ticket, just the License plate number. But onto the next part, above where he signed, it says "I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the state of California that the foregoin is true and correct" When infact, it is false. Is there anyway to get this dismissed? Because I can tell you now that if they ran those plate numbers, there for sure wouldn't be a 2001 Honda Accord showing up.

Also, do I NEED to sign the paper copy he handed me? Or is it just the PDA handheld he had me sign on?

Edit: this is also my first ticket I've recieved while in a vehicle, the other was a curfew violation 2 years ago. I am now 19 years old.

If your license plate number is correct on the ticket, there is little chance that you're going to be able to get it dismissed. It's really not difficult to make a mistake on the model of a car.
