How Do I and My Mom Emancipate Me?

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Colorado

ok so both me and my mom agree that i should be emancipated. im not abused and im not neglected but my mom has been suffering for the mistakes i've made and she thinks this is the best option. i agree too. i already have a place to live and many job opportunity's set up. im fifteen years old, and state law is fourteen. now all we need id to figure out how to start the process? is there paperwork i can get online or do i need to just go up to the court house and file?

Where are you getting that state law is 14? Colorado does not appear to even HAVE an emancipation statute.

Hate to tell you this, cookie, but I think you were looking up the wrong state. California will consider, in rare circumstances, emancipate a 14 year old. No other state will even consider it.

And even if Colorado did have an emancipation statute, you don't get emancipated on the basis of having job opportunties set up. The first step in the process is to get the job, keep it, and be able to show the court a PROVEN (not potential) record of being able to support yourself.
